Happy Church Bongbong Outreach @ 2!

Yey!  We are now on our 2nd year!  God continues to be faithful and true to the inhabitants of Brgy. Bongbong, the small community that our family has been supporting with the leadership of Auntie Lourding and husband, Tatay Bom under the banner of Happy Church.  With that, another grand celebration was held last Saturday spearheaded by Happy Church missionary, Sis. Beth Hicks and local church pastor, Ptra. Lina Auman.

  

Aside from the bible center's anniversary, two houses were again blessed and dedicated for other two families to shelter in.  Happy Church is ever so generous in making the lives of their members comfortable by giving them houses.  And FYI, these are not merely makeshift houses but real concrete and sturdy houses that could last a lifetime.  Our members are just so lucky with Happy Church not asking any from them but just to draw themselves closer to God for this is a way of the church to share God's love to His people.

And for the bible center's 2nd year, another giant tub of Baco's dirty ice cream from Fascino was being shared by the community's cute little children.  As always, the kids love the camera and the ice cream that they kept on lining up for another cone or scoop or glass of it!  Haha!

Spiritual Sunday: Happy Church Bongbong Outreach Turned 1!

Spiritual Sunday teaches all about life and our Big Boss.

From this to that, the Happy Church Bongbong Outreach had turned one year old, Saturday of last week!  

  

God has been so faithful and true to His promise that aside from the added fence around the bible study center were three new houses given to three new families who just recently joined the fellowship in Bongbong.

With this, a celebration of thanksgiving was held together with the blessing of the houses.  Songs of praises were offered to Jehovah Jireh, God the provider.  

After the prayers and praises was the fellowship with the entire servants of God of Happy Church Ministries spearheaded by Pastor Elvie Go with outreach leader Ma. Lourdes T. Putis.

Then what's a celebration without food?  All members of the outreach had managed to offer three lechons for the whole congregation to share!

And my favorite part was kulitan with the kids!

Truly, God has taken us step by step into His glory.  He's not yet done on us for we are still on process.  Praise be to God for one year and counting!!!!!

Spiritual Sunday: God's Promise Fulfilled

Spiritual Sunday teaches all about life and our Big Boss.

Remember my post on Labor Day about the mini house of prayer that the people of Brgy. Bongbong, Ozamis City started to build?  Now by God's grace, I am so overwhelmingly glad to announce that it is now finished!  Yes, God has again made the impossible possible!  Yes, God has shown to His people that what He had started, He will finish!  And yes, God has been so faithful in fulfilling His promise!

Through the cooperation of the Happy Church, people from the Happy Church Bongbong Outreach, and other kind-hearted private individuals, the house of prayer is now completed with walls, ceilings, and flooring!  So the Happy Church Bible Study Center Bongbong Outreach was officially opened yesterday, August 3, 2013 at exactly 6 o'clock in the morning!  The founder of Happy Church, Pastor Elvie Go blessed the opening of the center together with missionaries Beth and Kendra.

A host of people gathered which made the first worship service held at the center fully jam-packed!  And this is only the beginning.  More and more people will come every week to hear God's word and to have fellowship with the other brethren.

Now that the bible study center is finished, Bongbong outreach leader Maria Lourdes T. Putis would like to thank all the people who had contributed to the success in putting up the building.  As mentioned in my previous post, everybody (men, women, kids, and oldies) took part in making their dream house of prayer come into reality.

Founded by prayer, this center would surely bring the good news to more people.  Founded by love, this center would surely bring more souls to the feet of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.  For He is faithful and true!
