Lablab for Kids Christmas 2015: Gift-Giving and Party at Baybay Maningcol

After we opened our Lablab for Kids Christmas 2015 project last November, we received pledges of donations from relatives, family, family friends, close friends, FB friends, and even non-friends.  They were very positive about the project and were very excited to take part on it.  Even our customers took joy in dropping their P5 coin/s to our piggy bank from the dozen/s balloons they'd ordered.  They appreciated the thought and some even dropped more coins aside from what was stated in the mechanics.  I guess that's just how Christmas is.  A season of sharing and giving.  So the project had materialized into something "big" (for me) though there were some pledges that weren't fulfilled.  And the time has come to finally give joy to the kids of the little community we found the heart for at Baybay Maningcol!

Lablab for Kids Christmas 2015: Balloon-Giving Outside the Store

Disclaimer:  This activity was unintentionally a part of Lablab for Kids Christmas 2015 project.  This was an impromptu bright idea that suddenly popped up in my mind to further give joy to the kids aside from the main event which we will be having next week.  I just used the same title because we only have one goal and that is to put a smile in every kid's heart this Christmas season! :)  #LablabForKidsChristmas2015

Balloons are kids' joy! So we gave 'em away to the passers-by of Fascino yesterday! This is our way of saying "Thank you, thank you for the love!"  Thank you to all our valued customers who keep coming back to order their balloons from their baby's christening, 1st birthday, to 2nd birthday, and so on and so forth!  Thank you to all the kids who love our balloons so much that I can see it in their eyes the appreciation and adoration!  Above all, thank you, thank you to all of you who trust and believe in us not just in our balloons but also in our fragrances, invitations, and other services! :)

So from our family to yours, happiest and merriest Christmas!  Thank you, thank you for the love! <3  'Till next Christmas, happy Fascino kiddos! :)

Lablab for Kids Christmas 2015 :)

Since today is Thanksgiving Sunday, let us give thanks to our Lord with an ever grateful heart!  God has been so good to us for keeping us away from harm and sickness.  By the looks of it since you're reading this, you are perfectly in a safe place and in good health.  There are plenty to be thankful for!  The moment we open our eyes this morning is such a great blessing for us to enjoy another day of life God has given us.  We are all blessed in every aspect of our lives may it be mentally, physically, or emotionally.  However, we sometimes forget to give thanks because we tend to stumble upon the daily battles we might be fighting.  May it be a tough job, an unfriendly colleague, a dwindling economy, or a missing part of us.  We tend to focus on such things, making us forget to count our blessings.  So for today, let us pause for a while and be reminded of the goodness God has bestowed upon us.

In this matter, a simple "thank you" would already mean a lot.  It's the thought and act of being grateful that count.  But would it be nicer if we give back?  As the children's action song goes, "It's just like a magic penny.  Hold it tight and you won't have any.  Spend it, share it.  Give it away!  It will come right back to you."  I'm amazed I still memorize this song from grade school taught to us by Mrs. Carmen Guangco!  And what was the first stanza of the song?  Hmmm.....  "Love is something if you give it away.  Give it away.  Give it away.  Love is something if you give it away.  It will come right back to you."  Yes!  I exactly memorize the lyrics of the song!  I do believe that love is indeed something if we give it away!  Thank you, Ma'am Guangco for not only teaching us this song but also teaching us the value of loving and giving.

So that means, we can also say "thank you" by giving.  Since we are tremendously blessed, let us also share the blessings we had receive from God!  I know each one of us has his/her own way of sharing and giving but if you would like to give more, you can also allow us to be the way for that.  In continuation to Fascino by Maria Rosalia's project last year which was entitled "50 days of Christmas:  Singko Mo, E-Regalo Mo", we are again opening up another one in collaboration with a dear benefactor.  For this year, we name it as "Lablab for Kids Christmas 2015 :)"!

Image from Web

That's the product of our brainstorming last week 'coz we envision to put a smile in every kid's heart for Christmas starting today until we grow old.  "Lablab" is the baby talk for love in Cebuano language.  We used the slang instead of the proper word because it sounds sweeter, nicer, and kid-friendly.  In short, it's more malambing.  'Coz everytime a child makes lambing to us, our hearts easily melt.

So we make lambing to you too.  Hehe.....  If you have old children's books, children's clothes, children's shoes, and children's toys that can still be used, we're willing to adopt them for the little community we are currently eyeing at Baybay Maningcol.  Donate 'em at Fascino starting tomorrow until December 24, 2015.  If you still don't have kids and don't have the aforementioned stuff, you can also have your share by ordering your balloons at Fascino.  Yes, your purchase can also be of great help!  For every dozen of balloons ordered at Fascino Store, you will be able to donate 5 pesos to the said community.  But take note, prices of our balloons remain the same.  There are no add-ons for we will only be getting a portion of it for kids' joy!

Then our Thanksgiving Sunday becomes a meaningful one.  Give thanks with a grateful heart, give thanks by sharing your blessings!  Let's jumpstart the holiday season by spreading love love love!  See you at Fascino! :)

*Prices for every dozen of balloons are still P180 for assorted colors, P190 for choice of colors, and P200 for cartoon character print.

Whimsical Wednesday: Happy Frozen Christmas

Whimsical Wednesday shows my fancy in a myriad of beautiful things.

My December started without a feeling of December.  Then again, it would just be another cold December as my Decembers always had.  I even told Christ and Annalyn when we met last Saturday that I wasn't excited for Christmas.  I didn't even touch a single Christmas decor when my sister put up our Christmas tree at home.  Worst, I didn't have any plan of decorating Fascino for Christmas.  But I got rebuked when I watched ASAP last Sunday.  The show started with Martin Nievera's speech on how fortunate we were for being safe and dry while the others were battling yet another typhoon, Ruby.  So I told myself to set aside my lonely and selfish feelings.  It is just too selfish of me to only think of myself and grumbling about same old grumbles I have.  So I found light amidst the darkness I'm making to myself.

Gladly, my heart followed suit.  I am not that too selfish anyway!  As what Vice Ganda also said that night in GGV, "If we can't be happy, why not pass happiness to others so happiness will voluntarily find us."  So the following day, I decided to decorate the store!  However, I got tired and bored of same old decorations we have and thanks to my former student, Crissie for the fresh new frozen idea!  We got inspiration from FROZEN!!!!

More gladly, then came along Christ to the rescue!  With my new storekeeper Jing2x's help, everything was made possible!

Crafternoon with Christ and Jing2x

Then Olaf becomes the new Santa!  Kids passing by are mesmerized and tongue-tied at first before they exclaim "Ma, it's Olaf!" I feel happier making kids happy!  I also received FB queries on where our location is which made me more than glad.  So we are welcoming all of you to do visit us and take photos of Olaf with you!  Post your photo on FB or Instagram, write a sweet caption, and add the hashtags #ChristmasAtFascino #Ozamiz.  Ten best shots and ten best captions will receive Fascino scents of your choice!  This is our way of saying a big "THANK YOU!" for keeping us up for years now!  We will be waiting for your posts and let's all gonna have a Happy Frozen Christmas! :)

Thank you so much for the realization and materialization of my simpleng hiling, Kringy!!! You do not only made me super happy but also all the kids and kids at heart passing by Fascino everyday! :)

Visit Fascino along Gomez St., (beside Mom's Sweet Delight, across Kinny's Bakeshop) Ozamiz City! :)
