Smart But Unwise

That's exactly who I am!  After all the denials, I had accepted the more-than-fact/truth of me being a teacher.  But for the longest time, here I go again doubting!  Why on earth did I ever involve myself into this very dreadful fate that I had kept on running away from?  God, I don't wanna regret forever in this decision that I had made.  What should I do?  Is it too late for a change?  But I swear, I had done things to let me learn to love my rightful profession (From One Career To Another To Another).  Or maybe I'm just paranoid with fear.  I don't know.  I really don't know....

I just hated this mind-boggling situation again now because the person who has the guts to scold me in my stupidity did it again!  Telling me that I'm smart but unwise like a slap on my face!  Yet, I'm thankful because that just shows that you're still watching me.:)

But for your information,

One Year Bloggin’ and Still Lovin’ It!

As I was Getting Started with this blog, I wondered what will I write here.  Indeed, I had let people know about anything that matters most in Monday Matters.  I had written my corny and desperate compositions about my love flops in September 2011 and February 2012 month-long tales.  And yes, I had written about the places I had been to in My Adventures.  I had also talked much about people who are dear to me.  And even without having this as one of my goals, I had featured local businesses in Feature Friday!  Moreover, I had enlisted the itsy bitsy things that make me happy in My Potpourri!:)

Surprisingly, I had also built an audience!  It’s so overwhelming and flattering to see the likes and comments of my friends, friends of my friends, and total strangers!  Through this blog, I met new people and rewarded some Lucky Blog Readers!

After a year of running this blog, I could say that I had made this great!  With over 7,503 page views and still counting, it’s more than enough an accomplishment for me!  So I’m not gonna end this.  I will pursue this bloggin’ thingy until this will turn out to be the greatest!:)

And to all of you my dear blog readers, thank you so much for your patronage and for bearing with my ka-ekekan!  Now I encourage you to get out from your shell.  Just like me, be true and be yourself!  Express yourself in whatever ways you want.  For true happiness comes from revealing who you really are!

So, get more from The Other Side of Mae as we enjoy life's simplest and sweetest pleasures!:)

Candilicious Parteh!

With Mrs. Leilani Barrera, LSSTI Dean of Pharmacy
With the theme Candy Wonderland, the School of Pharmacy of Medina College held its acquaintance party last August 4, 2012 after the White Coat Ceremony.  The party aimed to welcome freshmen students and to foster good relationship among the pharmacy students and faculty.

Various intermission numbers were presented by the very talented pool of student pharmacists and fun parlor games were also played!  The hall was so bursting with colors from the photo wall, stage decorations, balloons and candies everywhere, to the chic outfits of the students!
Pharma Got Talent
As what Tito Bing stated, "Dili nalang unta mag-uniform", boys and girls alike wore color blocking and color splash, making all of them oh so good-looking!
Color Splash!
The party rocked specially when Val of the first year class sang On the Floor as popularized by J.Lo!  Everybody went wild as she stirred the audience into dancing and singing along with her!
Pharma Gone Wild!
I super enjoyed the party so may I have the honor to commend Severino Haganos III, 2011-2012 Class President, Stephanie Laurete, 2011-2012 Class Vice President, and Robert Christopher Dimagiba, the current Class President!  Special mention also to Jahleel Vannah Durias and Kathleen Pintacasi for their candilicious decorations and prizes!  More power to the School of Pharmacy!  We are now getting bigger and better!:)

Pharmacy White Coat Ceremony

Candle Lighting and Pledge of Professionalism
The Medina College School of Pharmacy held its White Coat Ceremony last August 4, 2012 at Plaza Beatriz Hotel.  White Coat Ceremony is a wonderful and meaningful tradition in which the school of pharmacy present to their student pharmacists a white coat, the symbol of clinical service and care.  The ceremony started with an invocation led by the first year students followed by a welcome address by the Dean of Pharmacy, Mrs. Carolina Balberan, RPh.

Then a message from the guest speaker, Mrs. Leilani Bugas-Barrera, RPh, Dean of Pharmacy at Lanao School of Science and Technology was heard.  She thoroughly explained the significance of White Coat Ceremony in taking on the responsibility of being professional pharmacists in the near future.

In lieu of the guest speaker's message, Dr. Danilo Daniel, PhD, Vice President for Academic Affairs of Medina College gave an inspirational talk to encourage the students to pursue their dream.  He stressed that any person should never give up in following his/her dream.

I had the privilege to be the master of ceremony! :)

So for my dear students, always bear in mind what Mrs. Barrera and Dr. Daniel told you to become full-pledged pharmacists.  You have to value hard work in order for you to reap its sweet fruit.

Congratulations, students!  You are now embarking to a higher level in your pursuant on becoming registered pharmacists!
